Four Things We Learned From Manchester United vs San Jose Earthquakes

Manchester United were held to a draw against MLS side San Jose Earthquakes. Here are 4 things we learned from this match.

Andreas Pereira alongside with Alexis Sanchez were the shining stars from an otherwise very boring game, personally he was our midfields backbone in both games. I think if he can keep showing these amazing performance in other games he can be rotated with Fred in our starting XI.

Something else that could easily be noticed is that, we get loads of chances and we play really close to the goal but without Lukaku we can’t score goals from those chances.

Speaking of attacking players Martial and Chong aren’t good enough yet for the starting XI but if they can both improve and prove themselves in the following matches then they might be able to start with Sánchez in the beginning of the League.

Looking at our performances in the pre-season and looking at players we signed and then comparing them with the other top 6 BPL teams you can see that we are in trouble. While other teams are strengthening in places that they are weak in we haven’t been able to make signings that can necessarily improve us except for Fred. We urgently need to finalise the signing of Fred, get Bale or another striker to perfect our front three and get another CB as well.
